DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Assist surgeon in surgical procedures / consultations and post operative appointments including:

  • Responsible for daily set up of Operatory rooms and equipment
  • Seating patients and maintaining flow
  • Taking, processing & mounting x-rays as instructed
  • Preparing patient for transport to recovery area and documenting
  • Preparing patient for transport to recovery area and documenting
  • Cleans room after each surgery, cleans/sterilizes instruments, sets up trays and restocking rooms
  • Responsible for all patient x-rays
  • Knowledgeable on all sterilization technique
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or surgeons

Essential Qualifications/ Skill Set:

  • Graduate from an approved dental assisting program.
  • Experience in the Dental field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Personable and able to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Adaptable and can multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of implants and implant systems

All candidates must be willing to travel to all 4 locations.

We are looking for an OMFS to join our team as an Associate with the opportunity to become a Partner.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute actively to the ongoing operations of the practice, and to nurture/develop relationships with current and prospective referring doctors.

Front Desk Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities– (these are primary duties and not all encompassing.)

  • Create a pleasant atmosphere providing quality patient care
  • Coordinate the arrival of clients
  • Process charts and related paperwork
  • Provide treatment estimates
  • Post and collect payments
  • Send insurance estimates and claims.
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming clinics.
  • Respond to phone inquiries, book consultations, surgery/post-operative appointments
  • Balance end of day reports.
  • Other administrative duties as required

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Post Secondary Degree an asset
  • Data entry proficiency
  • Customer Service experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Strong technical receptionist skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel to any of our 4 offices from Kanata to Orleans.

The successful candidate must be able to travel between all of our 4 locations as required.

Experience:

  • Front desk: 1 year
  • Administrative experience: 1 year
  • Customer service: 1 year

Desired Qualifications:

  • Dental/Medical office experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
