About Dr. Kevin J. Butterfield
Dr. Butterfield joined Argyle Associates in 2005. He is the former Chief of Dentistry/Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the Ottawa Hospital (2008-2017), an active surgeon with CHEO’s Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Disorders Team, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa Departments of Otolaryngology and Surgery. Dr. Butterfield’s has lectured nationally and internationally on various topics, including anesthesia, cleft palate surgery, and craniofacial trauma. He has published numerous textbook chapters on adult and pediatric anesthesia, and craniofacial trauma. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed professional journals throughout his career. He organizes the resident rotations for Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology through the University of Ottawa School of Medicine. Outside of the office, Dr. Butterfield is an avid marathon runner, having completed over 15 marathons, including all 6 Major Marathons around the world. He also competes in long-distance Ironman Triathlons, and has competed at the World Championships for the Half-Ironman distance. His wonderful wife and 3 lovely adult children keep him grounded and humble.
