Code of Conduct
At Argyle Associates, we uphold the right of our employees to be treated with respect, fostering a safe and positive working environment. Our commitment to zero tolerance of occupational aggression and violence is crucial to ensuring the well-being of our staff.
We define occupational violence and aggression as any incident where a worker is threatened, abused, or assaulted during the course of their work, including:
• Threats or other intimidating behaviours causing a person to believe they are in danger of physical attack.
• Verbal, physical, or psychological abuse.
• Physical attack, such as pushing, shoving, tripping, grabbing, hitting, pinching, scratching, kicking, biting, spitting, or any direct physical contact.
• Aggravated assault, including attacks with weapons (knives, guns, clubs) or any other object (thrown object, furniture, etc.).
• Sexual harassment and sexual assault.
Argyle Associates reserves the right to request that aggressive or abusive individuals leave our office premises. Refusal to comply upon request may result in the involvement of law enforcement.
Our staff is here to assist and will always treat you with courtesy and respect. We kindly request all those interacting with our staff members, as well as members of the public, to treat them with courtesy and respect.
To enforce our commitment to a safe workplace, Argyle Associates has implemented a zero tolerance policy. This means that any form of aggressive or violent behaviour towards our staff or any individual within our workplace will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
In the event of verbal abuse, individuals will receive a letter advising that such behaviour will not be tolerated. Any future violation will result in us refusing to conduct business in person or telephonically with the offender and only transacting with them in writing, without any appeal process.
Instances of written abuse will be handled with the same level of severity. All abusive correspondence received by our office will be retained for reference, potentially leading to police involvement should the matter persist.
Thank you for choosing Argyle Associates and joining us in our commitment to ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all.
